Wolf Tooth Waveform Aluminum Pedals are designed for all-mountain riding, from XC to downhill. The pedals come in two sizes, and are proportionally scaled to provide a supportive platform, shaped to match the footprint of your shoe. They have a slim, dual-concave profile that is 14mm thick at the perimeter and just 12.5mm thick in the center, cradling your foot for optimal pedal feel. Each side of the pedal has 11 stainless steel rear-loading pins for loads of traction. The design also features a large, tapered leading edge to deflect pedal strikes on rough terrain. The name Waveform comes from the wave that is machined into the inside front edge of the pedal. A custom radial seal protects three fully sealed cartridge bearings for low-friction riding in all conditions.

  • Two sizes: Large is 112mm x 106mm, small is 105mm x 99mm
  • Three high-precision, low-friction sealed bearings designed specifically for this pedal, with one igus bushing
  • Custom radial seal to protect internal hardware from water, dirt, and trail debris
  • Eleven stainless steel, rear-loading 4.5mm pins per side
  • Dual Concavity secures your feet firmly in place on the pedals, both front-to-back and side-to-side
  • Tapered leading edge deflects pedal strikes.
  • Available in eight colors

Comprehensive wilderness medicine reference
Format: Paperback
First off, this book should be supplement to actual in-person first aid training and course work. I only have my background in Boy Scouts and work required first aid/cpr/stop the bleed response to base this upon. But there is no substitute for competent in-person and hands on training, even if you have excellent books for reference. That said, this book does have a very thorough guide on most issues that could be faced in wilderness and emergency situations. The cross over for urban use, would be situations like a natural disaster that renders hospitals and EMS unavailable or over capacity. It's a very affordable book for all the information it contains, and is published by a reputable school. NOLS has been teaching outdoors skills since it was formed in the 1960s. If you can keep a level head and have decent reading comprehension, this book lays out diagnostic and treatment advice for many life threatening injuries and accidents. I'd recommend this book to anyone looking to expand and supplement their knowledge beyond basic first aid and CPR.

Had an older edition and bought the most current edition. Very well written.
Format: Paperback
Classic text. Written at the college level. Text treats each topic initially from point of what are the causes of this injury, and how to prevent it. Then it goes into what will need to happen with an occurrence. No pictures, but that's a good thing. There are many drawings which do a better job of highlighting what is important.

Great Reference
Format: Paperback
This is an excellent, concise book with easy-to-read excerpts and diagrams that we are keeping as a reference guide for our Search and Rescue Team, some of whom are Wilderness First Responders but sometimes need additional information.
